Project Engineer – Steel Fabrication & Design
Elida, OH | Full-Time | On-Site | $90,000–$100,000/year

As a growing AISC Certified Fabricator, we're looking for a Project Engineer with sharp design skills, fabrication knowledge, and a drive to take projects from the drawing board to the field. From government contracts to grain facilities, every job we take on has a lasting impact — and you’ll be right in the middle of it.

What You’ll Do

• Design mechanical systems, components, tools, and machinery using SolidWorks

• Perform tolerance studies, stress evaluations, and mechanical analyses

• Develop 3D models, BOMs, detailed drawings, and technical documentation

• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and maintenance teams across all phases

• Support prototype builds, testing, and field-ready troubleshooting

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

• 3–5 years of experience in fabrication, welding, or machining environments

• Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software

• Understanding of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes

• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Sage), documentation control, and BOMs

• Bonus: Experience with FEA tools, automation, or simulation software

• Comfortable working in both office and shop environments
