Inside Sales Representative:
An Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is a sales professional who primarily interacts with customers, typically over the phone, email, or video conferencing, rather than through face-to-face meetings.
Lead Qualification: Identifying potential customers who are a good fit for the company's products or services.
- Product/Service Presentation: Explaining features, benefits, and value propositions to prospective clients.
- Relationship Building: Nurturing leads and existing customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
- Closing Sales: Negotiating and finalizing deals.
- Customer Support (sometimes): Addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing post-sales assistance.
- Maintaining CRM: Documenting interactions and sales progress in a Customer Relationship Management system.
How the other terms fit in:
Shipping: While an ISR isn't directly involved in the physical act of shipping, they often need to understand shipping processes, timelines, and costs to:
- Provide accurate information to customers: When will their order arrive? What are the shipping options and associated fees?
