Temporary (Possibly Temp to Hire) Certified Medical Assistant Needed in Libertyville, IL

Our client, a large multi-office Nephrology Practice, has an immediate staffing need for an experienced temporary possibly temporary to hire full-time Medical Assistant.

This is a temporary possibly temporary to hire Medical Assistant Position working Monday-Friday from (8:00am to 4:30pm).

Job Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients in a professional manner, collects co-pays, and insurance cards.
• Completes all rooming procedures: vital signs, social and medical history, etc.
• You will be responsible for administering blood draws.
• Explains common medical procedures to patients.
• Prepares clinics by obtaining lab results, imaging, etc. from PCP offices, and hospitals, and prior authorization for medications, imaging, procedures, etc. Scans and updates medical records into EMR/EPIC
• Maintains and obtains accurate patient records and triages written and verbal information to the patient and clinical staff.
• Confirms appointments.
• Verifies prescriptions.
• Confirms and updates medication lists.
• Follows up with patient to confirm blood work was completed.

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent medical assistant experience is required. 
• High School Diploma is required.
• A Certified Medical Assistant from an accredited program is preferred.
• Epic experience is a plus. 
• The ideal candidate is someone who is detail-oriented and able to multitask that takes pride in high-quality work, and that accurately conducts all of the elements of the job.
