Position: ADRN Supervisor
Department/Program: Aging and Disability Resource Network
STATUS: ☒Full-time ☐ Part-time ☒Exempt ☐Non-exempt
Reports to: Assistant Executive Director
Solutions for Care (SFC) serves over 12,000 older adults and those living with disabilities each year in Berwyn, Cicero, and Proviso Township. We provide direct client service through information and assistance, in-home care, advocacy services and transitional assistance in hospitals. General Statement of Duties:
The ADRN Supervisor will be responsible for the direct supervision of the ADRN team. This individual will develop and implement strategic program plans and is responsible for agency outreach, including attending required community events, state meetings, delivering presentations, and building a network of resources for clients. The Supervisor will also be responsible for maintaining and reporting team productivity to grantors and both the Assistant and Executive Directors.
This position will be expected to complete applications for SHIP (Senior Health Insurance Program),
AIRS (Alliance of Information and Referral System), LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance
Program) along with additional State and CEDA (Community and Economic Development Association) program certifications. This position will also oversee the managing of the agency TopBox program through AgeOptions.
Qualifications:
- Bi-lingual in Spanish/English is preferred.
- Minimum qualifications include a BA/BS degree in Social Science, Social Work, Gerontology or related field OR a minimum of five (5) years of experience working with older adults or people with disabilities.
- At least one (1) year of non-profit supervisory experience is preferred.
Requirements:
- Self-driven individual who will take a proactive approach to creating internal efficiencies.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Adaptability to continually changing work conditions, which may include working weekends on a rotating schedule.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse populations; Must be comfortable with public speaking and presentations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) to maintain accurate case notes, reports, and record keeping.
- Comfortable multi-tasking on the computer using different screens.
- Must have a vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and vehicle insurance for local travel to home visits, hospitals, trainings, and meetings.
- Criminal background check required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of programs, benefits, and services available to seniors and adults with disabilities on a local, state, and federal level.
- Complete required initial and annual training by state and other funding sources; maintain required certifications.
- Establish and meet performance goals and deadlines that align with the grantor and agency requirements, and complete reports by set deadlines.
- Develop a network and collaborate with ADRN stakeholders and partners to ensure that requirements and community needs are being met.
- Oversee agency promotional and outreach activities to enhance brand visibility and engagement, including attending community fairs, collaborating with agency partners, presenting and coordinating presentations, and coordinating the annual Healthy Living Event.
- Monitor ADRN team productivity within the agency's databases and systems, provide feedback and coaching to direct reports, and maintain accurate supervision and timekeeping records.
- Develop strategies for departmental and staff growth with the Assistant Executive Director
- Conduct scheduled presentations with community partners.
- Maintain and organize resources (files, books, or a computerized system) for easy access and update on a quarterly basis.
- Regularly update the Assistant Executive Director on team functioning and productivity.
- Collaborate with the Leadership Team on developing strategies to enhance agency efforts to support the agency’s mission.
- Other duties as assigned by senior leadership staff.
Schedule: Full time: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, occasional weekends and evening hours to attend community fairs and events.

- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and carry outreach/marketing supplies.
- Must be able to sit and work at a workstation for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to stand during community fairs and events.
- Must be able to walk, climb stairs, use elevators, and conduct visits in all kinds of weather.
Salary: $55,000 to $62,000. During the first year, six-month and 12-month performance reviews are conducted. Thereafter, performance reviews will be conducted every 12 months. Salary increases are based on performance.
