We are seeking a Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team! You will be responsible for implementing effective treatment plans with patients in an individual or group setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Counsel and advise individuals or groups with opioid use disorder
  • Complete assessments on individuals seeking care
  • Develop and implement individual treatment plans with the patients
  • Establish treatment goals and milestones with patients
  • Complete progress notes
  • Educate families and groups on opioid use disorder
  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare or counseling professionals

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in counseling, social work, or other related fields
  • State of Alaska Counselor Technician certification required
  • Experience in conflict resolution
  • Compassionate and caring demeanor
  • Ability to build rapport with patients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
