Medical Assistant - Clinical Dermatology

Established, award-winning Dermatology Practice currently has an opening needed, seeking a professional, dependable Medical Assistant of at least 2 years - preferably within Dermatology Practice (clinical) setting experience - to join as part of our team @ our Sherman & Paris, TX locations, Mon to Fri, starting with immediate Benefits!

PAYRATE: $21.08/hr - $23/hr ( granted based on experience - the more you have, the better!)

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant
• MA or CMA with GOOD WORK ETHIC, DEPENDABLE, PUNCTUAL and RELIABLE
• Prior Dermatology experience (1 to 2 years ideal)
• Mainly Clinical Dermatology, some Cosmetic procedures acceptable
• Proficiency within EMR, vitals, Prior Auths, prescription refills, patient care
• Ability to Scribe

• MONDAY - 8:15a - 5:00p | Paris, TX
• TUESDAY - Potential Admin hours | Sherman, TX
• WEDNESDAY - @ 7:15a - 5:00p | Sherman, TX
• THURSDAY - @ 7:15a - 5:00p | Sherman, TX
• FRIDAY - @ 7:15a - 5:00p | Sherman, TX (Potential to leave early Fri | Last pt. @ 2:30)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Chart patient histories in EMR, Vitals, rooming patients, injections
• Daily instrument care & sterilization of rooms
• Ensures all consent forms are completed prior to exam
• Assists Physician in Clinical Dermatology procedures - i.e.:
  • Suture removal, wound care, pain management, skin biopsies, specimen collection of skin for testing, keloid removal, cyst removal, Post-op Physician instructions
• Prescription refills, Prior Auths, schedule patients (pre/post-visit)
• Regularly interacts with physicians and other departments in order to identify and resolve problems.
• Maintains patient, employee and clinic confidentiality.
