As the Real Estate Underwriter, you will lead a team of analysts in achieving our mission to acquire distressed properties. This role involves overseeing and driving all aspects of the acquisition process, from valuation to negotiation, while fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and growth. You will act as the lead underwriter for all property acquisitions and ensure the team meets clear performance targets and metrics. Expertise in real estate investing, property valuation, and risk assessment will be critical in ensuring success. You will also be tasked with growing the division, enhancing team performance, and maintaining a team-oriented, hardworking culture.
Key Responsibilities

• -Lead a team of analysts, driving performance and accountability to acquire distressed properties in NC.
• -Oversee property valuations, including running comparables and determining broker price opinions (BPOs).
• -Evaluate investment opportunities by analyzing potential risks, return on capital and return on investment.
• -Manage and delegate tasks efficiently, ensuring deadlines and production goals are met.
• -Create and foster a positive, hardworking team culture aligned with company goals.
• -Implement strategies to expand acquisition output and meet performance benchmarks.

Qualifications

• Experience:
  -Minimum of 5 years in real estate industry, ideally with experience in real estate investing and distressed property acquisitions and valuation.
• -Expertise in BPOs (broker price opinions)
• -Strong understanding of leverage, investment risks, and financial analysis.
• -Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and grow a team.
