Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable 401(k) Distribution Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for processing participant distributions, loans, and other plan-related transactions. While a college degree is not required, a solid foundation in finance, payroll, or accounting is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Process 401(k) plan distributions, rollovers, hardship withdrawals, and loans in accordance with plan documents and IRS regulations

• Review participant requests for completeness and eligibility

• Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes

• Communicate with plan participants, advisors, and internal staff to resolve inquiries related to distributions

• Follow internal control procedures and maintain confidentiality of participant data

• Monitor and ensure timely processing of all transactions

• Assist with year-end processing and compliance testing as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Prior experience in financial services, payroll, or benefits administration preferred

• Familiarity with retirement plans (401(k), 403(b), etc.) a plus

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general office software

• Clear and professional communication skills (written and verbal)
