Director Financial Planning - Virginia Beach, VA (CFM)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

CFM is hiring an experienced Financial Planner to join our office in Virginia Beach, VA. As the Director of Financial Planning, you will collaborate with other members in the Financial Planning Department to provide financial planning, wealth management and investment advisory services. The Director of Financial Planning will join a team of dynamic, collaborative, and client-focused professionals who take pride on delivering massive value to the families the firm serves. Essential duties for the Director of Financial Planning will include, but are not limited, to:

· Oversee and manage all aspects of the financial planning department.

· Developing customized and comprehensive personal and business financial plans.

·Assisting the Senior Leadership in the training of newly hired members in the planning department and as needed in other departments.

·Collecting data for financial planning via client questionnaire, clarifying and verifying client answers to questions and entering data into financial planning system.

·Utilizing financial planning software to generate financial plans and reviewing them with Managing Partner.

·Generating specific action plans for clients relative to specific recommendations made in their financial plan.

·Creating, reviewing, and entering data into spreadsheets to analyze specific financial planning and/or business planning issues.

·Working with the financial planning team to continually assess existing software to determine the need for changes and/or upgrades in order to maximize opportunities with clients and potential clients.

·Teaching the nuances of the firm's culture and sales process as needed in all training sessions.

· Performing other duties as assigned and required.

Qualifications/Experience:

·At least 5 years of management experience.

·10+ years’ experience as a Financial Planner or related capacity; client facing experience a plus.

·4-year undergraduate degree required; preferably in a Business related major.

·CFP Designation preferred or ability to obtain post hire.

· Knowledge of financial planning software; proficiency in eMoney is preferred.

·Strong computer skills, especially in Excel and/or programming skills a plus.

·Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others.

·Ability to work independently.

·Strong attention to detail and accuracy

·Ability to organize and present data.

·Compensation: Base Salary is commensurate with experience ranging from $68,000-$90,000 with Bonuses.
