Construction Superintendent – Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB)
Location: Travel-Based (Preferred Base: Madera, CA)
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $110,000 – $140,000 DOE + Bonus Potential 

Overview:
SPAN, a 100% Employee-Owned Company (ESOP), is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead large-scale Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) projects across the U.S. This is a travel-based role—you’ll work on high-impact projects nationwide while enjoying strong compensation, a supportive culture, and opportunities for growth.

What You’ll Do:

• Supervise all on-site construction activities for PEMB and steel erection projects

• Lead and manage mid- to large-sized crews on active job sites

• Enforce jobsite safety, lead weekly safety meetings, and ensure regulatory compliance

• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and project teams

• Ensure on-time and within-budget project delivery

• Read and interpret construction plans and drawings

• Train and mentor team members and new hires

• Communicate project progress and resolve issues on-site

What You’ll Bring:

• 10+ years of construction experience

• 5+ years of direct PEMB or steel erection experience

• 5+ years of supervisory experience on similar projects

• Deep knowledge of PEMB systems and steel erection processes

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and mobile tools

• Valid driver’s license and insurability under company policy

• OSHA 30 and First Aid Certification

• Certified Aerial Platform and Forklift Operator

• Ability to travel extensively across the U.S.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Preferred Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field is strongly preferred

• Equivalent field experience will be considered in place of a degree
