St. Joseph Pharmacy – Pharmacist Incharge Job Responsibilities
1.    Immunization Services
o    Administer immunizations to walk-in patients in accordance with CDC and state regulations.
o    Ensure accurate documentation and proper cold chain storage of all vaccines.
2.    Medication Therapy Management (MTM)
o    Conduct MTM sessions to identify and address drug therapy problems.
o    Improve patient adherence and collaborate with healthcare providers for optimal outcomes.
3.    Patient Counseling and Communication
o    Provide clear, detailed counseling on prescriptions, side effects, and interactions.
o    Contact patients and providers promptly regarding medication approvals and prior authorizations (PAs).
4.    Confidentiality and Professional Conduct
o    Maintain full confidentiality of patient and pharmacy business information.
o    Wear a name tag at all times and uphold a professional appearance and demeanor.
o    Personal phone use is only permitted for job-related tasks or verified family emergencies.
5.    Reporting and Regulatory Compliance
o    Submit monthly operations and performance reports to the pharmacy manager.
o    Assist in internal and external audits with accurate documentation.
o    Complete biennial controlled substance inventory in accordance with DEA requirements.
6.    Inventory and Record-Keeping
o    Monitor and remove expired or recalled medications.
o    Maintain recall logs, 14–30 day will-call records, and all C-II invoices per compliance standards.
o    Ensure optimal inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
7.    Staff Management and Training
o    Allocate responsibilities appropriately among staff and ensure tasks are completed accurately.
o    Train staff as needed to maintain high service and compliance standards.
o    Provide continuous support, supervision, and performance feedback.
8.    Teamwork and Culture Building
o    Develop professional, friendly relationships with all team members.
o    Foster a positive, collaborative work environment focused on mutual goals.
o    Lead by example in promoting respect, accountability, and a strong team culture.
9.    Project Management and Support
o    Assist with new pharmacy initiatives or projects as assigned by management.
o    Provide ongoing updates on project status, milestones, and challenges.
o    Ensure smooth project execution by involving and guiding the appropriate staff members.
10.    Pharmacy Cleanliness and Workflow
•    Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment at all times.
•    Ensure efficient workflow and minimize patient wait times.
11.    Customer Service
•    Deliver prompt, respectful, and informed service to all patients.
•    Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
12.    Legal and Policy Compliance
•    Ensure all operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
•    Follow internal SOPs and maintain accurate records and documentation.
13.    Provider Relationships and Professional Networking
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with prescribers and healthcare partners.
•    Attend lunch/dinner meetings and professional gatherings as needed.
14.    Performance-Based Compensation
•    Year-end bonuses will be based solely on individual and pharmacy performance.
•    Key performance indicators (KPIs) include:
o    Professionalism and leadership
o    Accuracy in dispensing and documentation
o    Number of prescriptions filled
o    Contribution to team goals and project success
o    Overall impact on pharmacy growth and patient satisfaction
