Job Details

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer – HVAC Design to join our growing MEP consulting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and engineering HVAC systems for commercial, institutional, and residential projects. This role requires proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, as well as experience developing schematic designs and construction documents in coordination with other MEP disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and engineer HVAC systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and ductwork layouts.
• Develop schematic designs and construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Perform load calculations, duct and pipe sizing, and energy efficiency analysis.
• Coordinate with architects, electrical, and plumbing engineers to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, local codes, and industry standards.
• Select appropriate HVAC equipment and specify system components.
• Participate in client meetings, site visits, and construction administration as needed.
• Provide technical support and problem-solving throughout project design and implementation.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in HVAC design within an MEP consulting environment.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for HVAC design.
• Strong understanding of schematic design, construction documents, and load calculations.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, IECC, and local mechanical codes.
• Experience with VRF, chilled water, geothermal, and air distribution systems is a plus.
