Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing diesel engines, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. This role requires hands-on experience with various types of diesel equipment, including tractor-trailers, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. No overnights, no Sundays, and Saturdays are pre-scheduled.

Responsibilities and skills:

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs and safety inspections on diesel and gas powered equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Inspect mechanical and electronic components, diagnose issues, and perform all needed repairs.
• Replace clutches.
• Run/adjust overheads.
• Replace turbo systems.
• Replace and repair injectors.
• Replace and repair engines.
• Change tires.
• Fabricate and weld components as necessary to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
• Operate forklifts and other machinery safely while performing tasks.
• Assist in heavy lifting and moving of equipment as required.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with the office regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Familiarity with electrical systems related to vehicles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
