Position: Sr. National Manager, Team for Cures Walk/Run
Location: Must be centrally located in the DC area (e.g., DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, etc.)
Work from Home Set-Up:
If you are within 2 hours of the office, you must go in twice a week
If you are within a 2–4-hour commute, you must go in once a month
Anybody beyond a 4-hour commute, you must go in once a quarter for a retreat
Overview:
The Sr. National Manager leads peer-to-peer fundraising efforts for the company’s Walk/Run program. This role includes managing a team, overseeing a portfolio of events (primarily on the East Coast), and supporting national growth through strong leadership, community engagement, and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coach a small team to meet fundraising and recruitment goals
Manage and grow a personal portfolio of Walk/Run events
Build local strategies, support volunteer committees, and cultivate sponsors
Provide high-level customer service to participants, donors, and partners
Develop event plans, manage budgets, and oversee logistics
Use data and reporting tools to drive performance and improvements
Collaborate on marketing, communications, and digital assets
Represent the company at events and in the community
Required:
- 4+ years of experience in a peer-to-peer fundraising program
- 3+ years direct walk or run program fundraising experience
- 2+ years of experience managing staff
- Strategic planning and revenue growth expertise
- Proven track record of exceeding goals
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Event coordination and large-scale fundraising success
- Budget management and contract knowledge
- Excellent customer service
- Project management and multitasking abilities
- Willingness to travel (3xs to mandatory company meeting + predetermined event weekends)
- Goal-oriented with ability to motivate and empower others
- Volunteer management experience (building committees, local boards, volunteer training)
- Corporate sponsorship prospecting, recruitment, and cultivation experience
- Fundraising platform & CRM knowledge and proficiency (DonorDrive, Salesforce, and Concur
- knowledge a plus)
- Project management skills
- Canva proficiency
- Microsoft proficiency (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Public speaking experience
- Technical proficiency
