Logistics Manager

We’re hiring a Logistics Manager to lead warehouse and logistics operations at a busy manufacturing facility in North Houston. This is a key role where you’ll manage people, processes, and materials, keeping everything running on time and on budget.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee all warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory control, packaging, and raw material deliveries. Solve day-to-day logistics issues and keep things running smoothly in coordination with other departments.
• Manage warehouse staff by hiring, training, reviewing performance, handling schedules, monitoring attendance, and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.
• Handle all aspects of shipping logistics: negotiate freight rates, schedule and load trucks, print BOLs, manage order documentation (Trello, shipment planner), and create international shipping document (BOL, NAFTA, invoices, packing lists).
• Plan and coordinate order fulfillment to meet customer needs efficiently while controlling freight costs and maximizing load efficiency.
• Maintain accurate inventory with regular cycle counts and full physical inventories. Track warehouse metrics and stay within budget guidelines.
• Implement and enforce safety policies and training. Look for ways to improve speed, accuracy, and overall warehouse efficiency.
• Oversee rail spur and resin operations. Maintain and train Logistics Assistants. Fill in for the Transportation Manager as needed.

What You’ll Need:

• 3–5 years of shipping, inventory control, and supervisor experience
• Must have good people skills
• Strong knowledge of shipping/trucking rules and safety standards
• Forklift certified, not required but big plus
• Good with Excel and tools like TMS (Mercury Gate is a plus)
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb up to 90 feet
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a bonus but not required
