What You’ll Do:
As the Regional Sales Director, you’ll be at the forefront of Avanti’s growth in the Mountainwest region. You’ll lead a strategic, hands-on approach to building relationships, identifying opportunities, and driving revenue. Your day-to-day will include:
- Developing and executing a regional sales strategy aligned with company goals to boost revenue and expand market presence
- Cultivating strong relationships with top accounts and individual customers, becoming a trusted partner in their success
- Collaborating with our National Accounts Team to identify new leads, target high-potential opportunities, and create lasting partnerships
- Providing valuable insights on competitors, market trends, and industry shifts to help shape broader business strategy
- Planning and attending trade events and regional marketing initiatives, including managing event budgets and logistics
- Traveling approximately 50% of the time (including overnights and occasional weekends) to engage directly with clients and represent Avanti at industry events
- Conducting regular sales reporting and analysis to share key performance insights and recommend strategies to enhance growth and customer satisfaction (NPS)
- Using your advanced computer skills (Tourgate, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Zoom) to stay organized, present ideas, and communicate effectively
- Leveraging social media and digital tools to build engagement and visibility within your territory (a plus!)

- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams
- A readiness to grow in a performance-driven, ever-evolving environment
Education and Qualifications
- You are at least 18 years of age.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous Travel Industry experience
Physical Activities and Requirements:
- FINGER DEXTERITY: Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.
- TALKING: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- AVERAGE HEARING: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
- AVERAGE VISUAL ABILITIES: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery (copy machine, keyboard, etc.).
- PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
Physical Activities and Requirements:
- REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions and to deal with problems involving a few variables.
- MATHEMATICS ABILITY: Ability to perform very basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing two-digit numbers; the four basic arithmetic operations with money; and operations with units such as inch, foot, yard; ounce, and pound (or their metric counterparts).
- LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to use passive vocabulary of 5,000-6,000 words; read at a slow rate; and define unfamiliar words in dictionaries for meaning, spelling, and pronunciation. Ability to write complex sentences, using proper punctuation, and using adjectives and adverbs. Ability to communicate in complex sentences, using normal word order with present and past tense and good vocabulary.
