Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess patients' functional abilities, limitations, and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patients' ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
- Provide therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, cognitive retraining, and adaptive equipment training.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on compensatory strategies, home modifications, and disease management.
- Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to all regulatory and facility guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nurses, and physicians, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition for patients returning home or to other care settings.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- NBCOT certification.
- CPR certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills across a diverse patient population.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
