Position Description: The Foundation Communities HR Training Manager is responsible for developing and leading organization-wide training initiatives that support employee growth, engagement, and retention. This role focuses on general HR training needs that are not specific to individual job functions, including New Hire Orientation, manager development, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) education, and policy-related training.

The HR Training Manager will design, plan, and implement effective and accessible training programs, assess organizational training needs, and evaluate the outcomes and impact of all initiatives. They will also contribute to employee engagement strategies and HR team goals.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conducts or facilitates required and recommended HR-related training sessions, including New Hire Orientation (NHO), New Manager Onboarding, Anti-Harassment, and DEI training for all levels of staff
  • Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, accessible, and aligned with organizational goals
  • Maintains knowledge of new training methods, instructional techniques, and applicable training requirements
  • Identifies opportunities for new or improved training offerings based on evolving organizational needs
  • Collaborates with third-party vendors and training providers to coordinate employee participation in external learning opportunities
  • Works closely with HR and Payroll teams to ensure training content is relevant and appropriate for both employees and managers
  • Manages training logistics, ensuring goals and timelines are met within the approved budget
  • Collects and analyzes data related to training participation, effectiveness, and outcomes tied to recruitment and retention strategies
  • Coordinates and facilitates Lunch & Learn events that promote connection and strengthen interdepartmental collaboration
  • Maintains an up-to-date calendar/dashboard of all-staff trainings and communicates upcoming events to employees
  • Promotes and manages the organization’s annual employee engagement survey, analyzes results, and supports follow-up actions
  • Provides HR Generalist support and performs other related duties as assigned

Role Requirements/ Skills Needed:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong visual presentation and design ability
  • In-depth understanding of training development and delivery processes
  • Ability to moderate and facilitate both small and large groups, in person and virtually
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of initiative and accountability
  • Proficient in learning technologies, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Canva
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Education, or a related field preferred; experience may substitute for education up to four (4) years
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience designing and delivering employee and manager-related training programs
  • Experience working with diverse employee populations, including frontline and administrative staff
  • Ability to support and effectively communicate the organization’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally

Compensation

Starting at $65,000 annually
