Production Specialist Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Specialist to join our team and drive operational efficiency in our fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a key link between production, supply chain, and operations, you'll play a critical role in ensuring seamless production planning, execution, and monitoring.

Production Specialist Responsibilities 

• Release shop orders and verify readiness of people, workstations, and tools to execute production plans
• Conduct configuration management tasks within the MRP system to ensure production resources are appropriately aligned
• Manage internal RFQs and procurement of tools, fixtures, and other production-enabling materials
• Collaborate with purchasing and operations to meet production support requirements on time
• Generate and manage internal production reports to track work-in-progress, overdue items, and scheduled production starts
• Leverage reporting tools (Tableau preferred, Power BI/SQL a plus) to monitor and improve production KPIs
• Support the transition and adoption of our evolving MRP processes within the IFS ERP system

Production Specialist Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial technology, supply chain, business, or a related technical field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or supply chain support role within a heavy industrial environment
• Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems (IFS experience helpful but not required)
• Experience with analytics/reporting platforms such as Tableau (required), Power BI, or SQL (preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple departments and manage detailed configurations and resources
