The Role

As our Lead Fine Gardener & Crew Manager, you'll lead and motivate a diverse team of passionate gardeners, uphold and implement gardening standards, and collaborate closely with our leadership to ensure quality and sustainability. We are looking for individuals to uphold our mission to create beautiful, healthy spaces for people to enjoy.

What You'll Do

-Help to build a team community that is positive and productive toward our mission for a healthy planet.

- Lead and mentor a crew of talented gardeners, fostering growth and teamwork

- Hit the ground running by managing existing client relationships with professionalism and care

- Oversee gardening standards across the company, ensuring excellence in every project

- Share your expertise in sustainable practices, organic gardening, and plant care

- Work closely with the Operations Manager on quality assurance

- Support both new and experienced team members in their professional development

- Engage in hands-on gardening work, demonstrating best practices in the field

- Adapt and evolve your role over time, helping shape our ongoing success

Ideal Candidate

- 3-5+ years of extensive horticultural experience, with deep knowledge of plant identification and care

- Proven leadership skills, with experience mentoring and developing staff

- Skilled in sustainable, organic practices (NOFA/AOLCP certified land care), and irrigation systems

- Proficient in groundskeeping tools and techniques

- Ready to hit the ground running with existing clients and team members

- Passionate about eco-friendly practices and continuous learning

-Help to recruit, hire, and lead a passionate horticulture team that cares about creating and maintaining beautiful enjoyable spaces for our clients.

Preferred Education & Certifications:

  • University degrees in Environmental Science, Horticulture, Agriculture, or related disciplines
  • Professional certifications such as Master Gardener, MCLP (Master Composter/Leader Program), MCH (Master Certified Horticulturist), or equivalent trade certifications
  • High school or trade school diplomas with specialized training in sustainable gardening, landscaping, or environmental management
