Manufacturing Operator - 1st & 2nd Shift
Contract 6 Months, opportunity to extend pending budget & performance
Location: Hopkinton, MA
Hours: 7am to 3:30pm OR 3pm to 11:30pm (if on 2nd shift, must be able to train on first shift for the first few weeks of the contract. Hours are 7am - 3:30pm for training only)
Notes:
- Location: Onsite at Hopkinton, MA location – candidates must be local to Hopkinton
- Contract Duration: 6 months (opportunity to extend pending budget & performance)
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week (must be open to OT)
- Start Date: ASAP
Manufacturing Operator:
The Manufacturing Operator reports to the Manufacturing Line Lead and helps in performing all tasks involved in the production of products including production tasks such as kitting of parts, cutting of tubing and polymer film, reading design drawings, performing basic and complex assembly techniques, executing detailed visual inspections, operating manual and automated machinery, and completing packaging and labeling activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that the department’s safety, quality, and production goals are met.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct basic assembly techniques
- Read manufacturing drawings and follow standard operating procedures of varying complexity
- Perform detailed visual inspections on in-process and finished products
- Package and label finished products
- Work with a Team in a fast-paced ISO certified cleanroom environment for 8 hours a day
- Perform daily housekeeping tasks as assigned
- Cut tubing and polymer film to meet tolerances using both manual and automated tools.
- Safely operate cleanroom machinery by closely following the standard operating procedures
- Perform inventory counts and report any inaccuracies on in a timely manner
- Complete documentation according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Learn the Performance System and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Basic arithmetic skills
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality standards
- Ability to use hand tools, and equipment including repetitive forceful gripping, grasping, pushing, and pulling
- Stand and move during shift, including reaching, bending, stooping, grasping
- Ability to frequently lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and adhere to chemical hygiene
- Follow all safety protocols
