Job Description

Virginia Bar License in good standing required.

Established law firm seeks associate attorney with 1-3 years experience to join a general practice law firm. Candidate should be self-motivated, team-oriented, take initiative and be a problem-solver. The ideal candidate will manage litigation cases and resolve legal disputes on behalf of clients by developing agreements, negotiating, and advocating for clients in court. This individual will build client relationships and provide an excellent customer experience for clients. Experience in domestic relations and civil litigation is preferred in conjunction with experience in Courts in the Northern and Central Virginia region.

Opportunities for candidates to work with experience trial attorneys, retired member of the judiciary, and other experienced staff.

Salary, compensation, and benefits commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

Litigate matters in state court, including domestic relations and family law.
Provide legal support to clients and assist attorneys
Maintain client relationships
Prepare legal reports and documents
Litigate simple to complex matters in state and federal court

Qualifications

Licensed with the Virginia State Bar
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong legal knowledge
Experience throughout the Northern Virginia/Rt.29 Corridor/Piedmont Region preferred
