Onsite Bilingual Call Center Representative
Location: 30 Broad Street, New York, NY 10004
Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite | 40 Hours per Week
Program: New York Independent Assessor Program (NYIAP)
Make a real impact in the lives of New Yorkers. Join our dedicated onsite team as a Bilingual Client Service Representative supporting the New York Independent Assessor Program (NYIAP) — a vital Medicaid initiative that connects individuals to long-term care services.
This position is based in a call center environment in the heart of downtown Manhattan and is ideal for bilingual professionals who are compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to serving linguistically diverse communities.
Key Dates to Remember
Training Period: August 18 – September 12, 2025 (4 weeks)
Official Start Date: September 15, 2025
Important: No absences are allowed during the training period or within the first 90 days of employment
Work Schedule
Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 8:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Saturday shifts required on rotation)
Typical Assigned Shifts:
10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
11:30 AM – 8:00 PM
Your Responsibilities
Answer & Assist: Handle incoming calls and in-person inquiries from Medicaid recipients
Document Efficiently: Accurately log and track inquiries using internal systems
Support Enrollment: Guide callers through Medicaid eligibility, service options, and next steps
Ensure Compliance: Maintain quality standards and meet key performance metrics
Provide Language Support: Assist non-English-speaking callers with empathy and professionalism
Refer & Escalate: Direct inquiries to appropriate entities and escalate issues when necessary
Stay Current: Attend meetings and trainings to stay informed on programs, policies, and tools
✅ What You Need to Succeed
Residency: Must currently reside in New York, NY
Education: High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
Experience:
1–2 years of call center or customer service experience preferred
Experience with Medicaid, healthcare, or social services is a plus
Bilingual Fluency Required in at least one of the following languages:
Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Bengali, Russian, Arabic, Urdu, Punjabi, Korean, or Haitian Creole
Typing Speed: At least 35 WPM
