We are seeking a Tool and Die Maker to join a larger manufacturing on the northside of Milwaukee for a direct hire.

Pay: $36/HR

1st shift 6:30am – 3:00pm

CNC work, set ups, change overs, measurement instruments

Highly preferred journeyman

IMOLD preferred, die cast is 2nd place. Must have imold/injection molding or Die cast tool and die experience to be submitted

Occasional overtime on Saturdays, they always ask for volunteers first. They almost always fill OT with volunteers. So its up to you to work it.

Description:

o Production Support for Tooling

o Maintenance or breakdown of tools

o Cleaning/welding repair

o Backfill work supporting tools in production

o Set up for new tooling

o We use Vertical mills and lathes for CNC machines. 2D 2 axis machines. We have very tight tolerances in plastics (measure closely to less than a thousands).

o Use of CAD/Cam systems like Solidworks and Powermill. Creo is what our designers use

o We use the EDM machine only for burning (not wiring).

o Lots of team work. 50% new tools, 50% break fix of tools. Can fluctuate to 70% fixing and maintenance of tools.

o Lots of variety of tooling, normally on the smaller end. Lots of new problems and creative problem solving.

o Most important is the quality of the fix itself, good collaboration with others and positive attitude (50% teamwork, 50% independent)

o Manual grinding

o Mentor apprentices

· Must have Qualifications

o Plastic injection molding experience OR die cast experience is a must (stamping for example is not a fit)

o Ability to handwork and fit tooling

o Highly collaborative, good leadership and teamwork

o Positive attitude

· Preferred Qualifications

o Journeyman card (strongly preferred)

o CAD/CAM programs

o EDM machines
