FULL DESCRIPTION: Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory & Logistics Coordinator to support our growing manufacturing operation. This is a newly created position designed to offload core logistics and inventory responsibilities from our current operations team.
The right candidate is someone who thrives in a startup-like environment, takes initiative, and is comfortable wearing many hats. This is not just a data entry role – it's about owning the flow of materials and making sure the right ingredients and packaging are in the right place, at the right time, every day.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Inventory Management
- Monitor daily inventory of ingredients and packaging (approx. 300 SKUs)
- Ensure timely transfer of inventory from 3PL to onsite warehouse in alignment with production schedule
- Enter, track, and reconcile inventory in the system
- Confirm PO status with suppliers and follow through until delivery
- Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate with trucking companies, 3PL providers, and warehouse teams
- Book transportation and manage shipment schedules
- Resolve delays or inventory issues impacting production
- Cross-functional Communication
- Communicate effectively via phone, email, and in-person to ensure smooth operations
- Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, and production teams to anticipate needs
- Process Improvement
- Suggest improvements to inventory and logistics workflows
- Help build and document repeatable processes for long-term efficiency
The selected candidate will also possess:
- Minimum 1 year of inventory management experience
- Experience coordinating transfers between 3PL and internal facilities preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfortable in a dynamic, evolving environment—start-up mindset a must
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to be trained and take initiative
- Experience in the food manufacturing industry
- Familiarity with Japanese workplace culture or global organizations
- Comfort using inventory management software or ERP systems
Salary Range: $24-$26/hr
