Job Description
Are you passionate about helping youth and families overcome their mental health challenges? Do you have a degree in counseling, social work, or a related field? If so, you might be the perfect candidate for our part-time mental health counselor position!

We are a private practice in Lexington SC that offers in-home, office, community, and school-based counseling services to clients ages 2 to 78. We specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and other behavioral and emotional issues. We are looking for dedicated counselors who can work 8 - 20 hours per week with our unique population of youth and families.  Work hours will vary for school-based clients - based upon school staff identification of possible hours available to provide services.  Work hours for office, in-home, and community will be based upon your availability and agreement with client (if an adult) or guardian (if client is a minor) to schedule services.  Work hours may entail possible evenings and weekends.  Further information will be provided during interview.

As a part-time mental health counselor, you will:
- Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for each client
- Provide evidence-based counseling interventions using modalities such as CBT, DBT, play therapy, and family therapy
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other community resources to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and outcomes
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of professional practice

To be considered for this position, you must have:
- At minimum, a Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field from an accredited program.  A Master's degree is preferred
- A current license or eligibility for licensure as a LPC, LMSW, or LMFT in South Carolina is preferred.
- At least one year of experience working with youth and families in a clinical setting required
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within Lexington County
