Job Title: Network Administrator

Department: CBBC Information Technology – 330 E Broadway Ave. Maryville, TN 37804

Reports to: Information Technology Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Shift: As assigned; typically, 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday with occasional extended and weekend hours.

Work with CBBC Bank’s network integrators to…

  1. Install and configure network hardware and software, including routers, firewalls, and switches.
  2. Create and manage network users, user environments, directories, and security protocols to ensure authorized access.
  3. Maintain, repair, and upgrade network and server systems to ensure reliability and performance.
  4. Monitor network performance to identify issues and make necessary adjustments to optimize functionality.
  5. Identify network issues and develop innovative solutions to resolve them promptly.
  6. Protect networks from unauthorized users through physical and technical means, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

Knowledge Required: Clear understanding of network infrastructure, protocols, and security measures. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues efficiently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments. Knowledge of bank software provided by Jack Henry and associates is a plus.

Ability Required: Ability to read, write legibly and write business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from fellow associates and the occasional bank customer. Professional telephone voice/presentation and etiquette. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The ability to greet and interact with customers and the ability to be versatile in a changing environment.

Skills Required: Advanced skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Microsoft Access is a plus. An understanding of IBM iSeries applications is required. Skills in organization, time management and the ability to prioritize are a must.

Education and/or Experience: Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
