In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a culture of safety within our organization.

What You'll Do:

  • Champion Safety: Coordinate and monitor all aspects of the worker’s compensation program, ensuring employees receive proper care and facilitating their return to work.
  • Compliance Expert: Identify, monitor, and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations. Stay updated on federal, state, and local legislation.
  • Collaborative Partner: Establish relationships and collaborate with all departments to ensure regulatory compliance and promote a culture of safety.
  • Incident Investigator: Conduct accident investigations, review near-misses, and implement preventive measures to ensure a safer workplace.
  • Training Leader: Coordinate and lead safety and OSHA training programs, ensuring all employees are well-informed and prepared.
  • Safety Innovator: Maintain and enhance the safety incentive program, continually seeking ways to promote continuous improvement in EHS practices and culture.
  • Emergency Planner: Develop and coordinate emergency response plans and drills and manage the First Responder program.

What You'll Need:

  • A bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of three years’ practical experience in a safety position, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and ANSI requirements, and Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to solve problems and influence others.
  • Self-motivator with the ability to set goals, organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects.
  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and insurance.
