Job Description

Leader of Information Technology

Position Overview: Aeronix Technologies Group is a rapidly growing mid-sized defense contractor seeking a strategic and hands-on IT leader to oversee our enterprise technology operations. This individual will play a critical role in enabling secure, scalable growth by aligning IT initiatives with business goals, driving cross-functional communication, and ensuring full compliance with government regulations, including CMMC, DFARS, etc.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a track record of building IT infrastructure, managing IS and collaboration platforms, supporting M&A integration, and fostering a strong security posture in regulated environments. This dual role requires strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving. We are not seeking a pure manager, but rather someone capable of architecting and implementing IT solutions across multiple entities of varying sizes and maturity levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a scalable IT roadmap aligned with corporate strategy and growth objectives.
  • Ensure full compliance with government cybersecurity and information assurance requirements (CMMC, DFARS, etc.)
  • Lead system implementations or optimizations, ensuring alignment with business workflows and regulatory needs.
  • Maintain a leadership position that also includes a technical contribution.
  • Establish and maintain secure and reliable collaboration tools, networks, and communication systems across multiple locations and businesses.
  • Drive IT integration and standardization efforts for new acquisitions or organizational changes.
  • Help to determine AI’s role in the business infrastructure.
  • Manage IT budgeting, vendor contracts, licensing, and procurement.
  • Strong collaboration with IT resources throughout the organization.
  • Ability to manage while remaining technically involved.
  • Act as the primary liaison between IT and business units, ensuring that technology enables operational efficiency and informed decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT leadership or a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Deep technical expertise across a range of IT disciplines, including but not limited to network infrastructure, cybersecurity, ERPs, collaboration tools, etc.
  • Government or government contractor experience, including CMMC, GCC High / FedRamp, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Base pay starting at $175,000 annually.
