Established Boston-area community-based healthcare leader that is excited to add full-time Registered Nurses (RN) passionate about working with the underserved and who will be comfortable providing initial and semi-annual nursing assessments for home-based elderly patients. Minimum 1 year of experience working with geriatric population. Must have a car to visit patients’ homes.

Additional Compensation Opportunities: Homecare nurses also receive mileage reimbursement. Full-time nurses are on an on-call rotation 1 week/month (Mon-Sun). In addition to your base hourly rate/salary, homecare nurses receive a $20 flat fee every weekday they are on-call, and a $30 flat fee every weekend/holiday day they are on-call. They receive an additional $15 for activities totaling 1 min to 60 min. The on-call activities can range from answering a phone call from the answering service to checking to see if a patient has been discharged on the weekend, and for the most part no calls on weekdays.

The RN will also:

- Develop and implement nursing plan of care

- Provide medication management

- Provide daily nursing treatments, episodic assessments and nursing interventions

- Collaborate with Primary Care to provide complete nursing services in a safe, secure, accessible environment with skill, dignity and respect.
