Overview:

Our thriving accounting office is looking for a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our team and help us deliver exceptional financial services to our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
• Prepare and submit payroll and sales tax returns
• Conduct regular general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and transparency
• Analyze and correct financial discrepancies, including journal entries
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy

Experience:

• Experience in public accounting is a PLUS
• Minimum of 5 years bookkeeping experience a MUST
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
• Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
