Job Title: Sonographer – Diagnostic Cardiac
Location: Hillsboro, OR, US (Onsite)
Schedule: Days, 20 hours/week
Employment Type: Permanent, Part-Time
Salary: $50 – $65 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer to join our growing team at Hillsboro. In this role, you will provide high-quality cardiac imaging services in both hospital and clinical settings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in echocardiography and a commitment to excellence in patient care that aligns with our mission and values at Client.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures (routine, emergent, portable, and surgical) according to department protocols.

  • Communicate findings effectively with cardiologists.

  • Assist patients and transport when necessary.

  • Perform clerical duties including data entry, file management, restocking supplies, and cleaning.

  • Participate in Quality Assurance initiatives.

  • Participate in variable on-call/standby schedule as needed.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

  • Education:

    • Completion of a two (2) year AMA-approved program and one year of Ultrasound training and certification, OR

    • Two (2) years Allied Health education and certification from a two (2) year ARDMS program, OR

    • Successful completion of an AMA-accredited Ultrasound program with ARDMS or CCI registration (new grads must achieve registration within 1 year of hire).

  • License/Certifications:

    • Sonography Technologist License (Oregon)

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) – within 1 month of hire

    • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS) – within 12 months of hire

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with TEE, Stress Echo, and Pediatric Echocardiography

  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Adaptability, flexibility, and strong interpersonal communication skills
