Job Details

As a field service technician, employee is responsible for providing customers with professional, reliable, and timely onsite service and communication. Employee must maintain a clean and safe work environment, abiding by all company protocols and policies. Employee is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships by responding to inquiries in a timely manner and keeping lines of communication open until projects are complete. Employee is also responsible for maintaining any and all company equipment provided to employee, including but not limited to company cell phone, vehicles, and tools.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• Install/Startup new equipment (i.e. actuators, pumps, valves, PLC) and explain operation and routine maintenance protocols to customers.
• Perform field measurements for adaptations and machining for customers.
• Provide technical support to troubleshoot, repair and maintain operational efficiencies in hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Perform annual service visits and complete preventative maintenance on all PM contracts.
• Operate all hand tools and power equipment according to company safety procedures.
• Interpret equipment diagrams and blueprints to fully understand mechanical and electrical systems in need of service.
• Discuss and recommend service options with customers.
• Follow OSHA and job site safety procedures.
• Provide telephone support to customers for services and sales.
• Interact with all necessary partners including vendors, upper management and peers.
• Properly complete work reports for each field visit.
• Observe all safety protocols and procedures to avoid injuries and accidents during each shift.
• Research and provide training on new equipment.
• Meet with new and potential customers.
• Provide training and development of products and services.

• Maintain company vehicles such as fluid levels, fuel, and taking to approved shops for oil/tire changes
