Chemical Process Control Engineer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chemical Process Control Engineer to join a petrochemical facility in Houston, TX. This onsite role involves supporting day-to-day process operations through control system management, troubleshooting, advanced control strategies, and instrumentation support. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with distributed control systems (DCS), particularly Honeywell Experion or similar platforms, and a solid background in process engineering within a chemical manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize process control systems to ensure efficient and safe plant operations

• Troubleshoot control issues and instrumentation malfunctions

• Develop and implement advanced process control strategies

• Tune and maintain controllers for optimal performance

• Provide hardware and software support for DCS systems, including programming and graphics configuration

• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement

• Support capital projects and process improvements as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering

• Experience with process control and advanced process control systems

• Proficiency in Honeywell Experion or similar modern DCS systems

• Strong troubleshooting skills in process control and instrumentation

• Prior experience in chemical manufacturing or a related industry

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
