Job Description
Serves as initial point of contact to patients seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) for home visits and in office services. This is a patient contact service position, which provides a wide-range of services oriented toward gathering patient information and coordinating the scheduling of services for patients, to include ancillary and follow up scheduling, with an emphasis on excellent customer service. The MA will be responsible for doing in home set ups, evaluating and managing patient needs; communicating with the physician office staff when necessary. Exhibits and promotes a full understanding of customer service philosophy; stressing the importance of making a positive impact upon customers. Responsible for proficiently and accurately entering data in the permanent Electronic Health Record while talking with the patient. Responsible to support a variety of Population Management, Chronic Disease Management and initiatives through patient registry and outbound calling/home visits. Reports directly to the CEO Position require high level of customer service skills as well as clinical background to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers and members of the IDT, in order to prevent cost while promoting population access to healthcare resources and overall better patient health.
Job Skills Description
Education and/or years of experience required:
•Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with active FL certification
•Minimum of two years clinical scheduling experience and PCP office experience
•Strong, accurate PC typing and verbal communication
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Ability to establish relationships with employees, directors, patients and other members of the IDT
· Ability to operate a computer including office software and other devices
· Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Education /Specialized Knowledge Requirements:
FL MA Certification and two years of full time clinical experience required.
Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
