Job Title: Construction Labor Law Paralegal

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal with a strong background in Construction Labor Law to join our established Personal Injury practice. The ideal candidate will have experience handling cases involving New York Labor Law §§ 200, 240(1), and 241(6), OSHA violations, scaffolding accidents, and other construction site-related claims. This role involves supporting attorneys throughout all stages of litigation, from intake to trial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct factual and legal research related to construction site accidents, labor law violations, and third-party claims.
• Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and subpoenas.
• Review and analyze medical records, accident reports, incident photographs, OSHA citations, and safety records.
• Coordinate and schedule depositions, independent medical examinations (IMEs), site inspections, and expert consultations.
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
• Maintain client communication and provide case status updates regularly.
• Prepare settlement packages and lien resolution documentation.
• Manage case files using legal case management software

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a paralegal in personal injury and/or construction labor law.
• Strong understanding of NY Labor Laws §§ 200, 240(1), 241(6).
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and their application in litigation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research tools (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw).
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask under deadlines.
