Receptionist – Des Moines, Iowa
The Receptionist role is an integral member of the team. In this role, you will be responsible for greeting walk-in guests, checking and confirming their identification, and ensure that they are escorted by the authorized employees. You will maintain reception logs, generate guest passes for visitors and new employees.
The responsibilities of the Receptionist also include answering incoming calls and monitoring email and voicemail communications. You will also coordinate, monitor, and assist with logistics for conference room maintenance, guest meetings and general facility activities. Our business need demands a receptionist to be present at the front desk and, as such, requires interested candidates to work onsite at our Des Moines, Iowa office.
Qualifications:
Basic
- High School Diploma
- At least 1 year of experience related to the job description.
Preferred
- Experience using SharePoint.
- Familiarity with general information security office practices
Duties
- Maintain the front desk as the face of the customer.
- Greet walk-in guests, check, and confirm their identification.
- Act as initial contact for all vendors related to onsite services and alert responsible party of the vendor arrival.
- Monitor and report issues to Facility Lead.
- Coordinate conference room reservations and scheduling in Outlook Calendar.
- Upload various documents to SharePoint as per instructions.
- Receive, open, log, scan into TRAC, and sort incoming USPS and accountable mail.
- Notify end users via email about their mail received.
- Initiate service calls for copiers and office equipment.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
Education:
High School Diploma or Bachelor's degree in information Technology or related field or equivalent experience required.
