Simms Management has an opening for a Full Time Maintenance Technician at our Apartment Community in Washington Township.

The candidate must be skilled in all typical repairs including electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, HVAC (basic), carpentry and woodwork. Must be able to perform quality work, attention to detail, be self motivated, be honest, have good driving record and have good communication skills. Highly competitive compensation based on ability and job experience. 

Responsibilities:

• Complete apartment make ready's between residents.
• Complete work orders for residents in a timely fashion.
• Keep community and common areas clean of trash and debris.
• Snow removal from sidewalks.
• Work with and assist other maintenance staff.
• Perform routine preventive maintenanceMaintain material and supply inventory
• Be available to be on-call 24 hours per the on-call schedule, typically every 4th week. 

​Qualifications:

• Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields, preferably multifamily residential.
• Be able to use mobile electronics to enter relevant information of work performed onto company software.
• Must be courteous, friendly and service oriented with residents.
• Provide own maintenance tools, some tools and equipment is provided.
• Ability to handle physical workload, must be able to lift push or pull up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to climb and safely use ladders.
• HVAC certified a plus.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen
