Job Details

A warehouse associate is responsible for a range of duties related to the movement and management of inventory within a warehouse or distribution center. This includes receiving and processing incoming shipments, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping items, and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse. They also operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, and may be involved in inventory management and record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receiving and Processing:

  Unloading trucks, checking incoming shipments against purchase orders, and sorting and storing items in designated locations.

• Order Fulfillment:

  Picking items from shelves or storage areas to fulfill customer orders, packing items securely for shipment, and preparing them for dispatch.

• Inventory Management:

  Maintaining accurate records of inventory, conducting regular counts, and reporting any discrepancies.

• Warehouse Operations:

  Operating warehouse equipment (with proper training and certification), organizing and maintaining the warehouse space, and ensuring a safe and clean working environment.

• Safety and Compliance:

  Adhering to all safety guidelines, reporting any hazards, and maintaining a safe work environment for themselves and others.
