Compensation: $25 to $30, depending on experience
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Bilingual Spanish Client Relations Representative / Legal Secretary to join our customer's growing Law Firm. This in-person role combines strong client service skills with legal administrative expertise. The ideal candidate is fluent in both English and Spanish, has experience working in a law office, and excels in handling confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relations (Spanish/English):
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Spanish-speaking clients.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and in-person inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
- Conduct initial client intakes and maintain detailed client records.
- Translate documents and communications between Spanish and English as needed.
- Build and maintain positive client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and follow-ups as needed.
Legal Secretary Duties:
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence (e.g., pleadings, motions, subpoenas).
- File legal documents with courts and maintain accurate case files.
- Calendar court dates, deadlines, and appointments for attorneys.
- Maintain organized and confidential client files in both physical and electronic formats.
- Coordinate attorney schedules and provide administrative support for court appearances and depositions.
- Assist with billing, time entry, and other administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in Spanish and English (verbal and written) is required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a legal environment, preferably in client-facing or secretarial roles.
- Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and court systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or legal secretarial certification preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in immigration, personal injury, family law, or another client-intensive legal field.
- Prior experience in a bilingual client service role.
