Job Title: Front Office Medical Assistant
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team with strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently. Must love children comfortable handling Newborn Babies. Must be a customer service rockstar. Must follow the established clinical protocols, policies, and procedures within the defined scope of education, training, and responsibilities. Provides basic health information and education to patients using established protocols. Responsible for managing the phone calls and maintenance of daily appointments.
Responsibilities:
- Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations.
- Administer injections to pediatric patients.
- Schedule patient appointments
- Provide compassionate care and support to patients during their visit.
- Performs simple lab tests, including pregnancy tests, influenza swab, rapid strep test, RSV, urine dip, hemoglobin and glucose testing.
- Performs PPD skin test placement after appropriate training and verification of competency.
- Performs initial health data collection, including vision and audiometric testing.
- Handles hazardous waste appropriately.
- Schedules routine follow up appointments.
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical office
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
