Job Summary
The Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality behavioral health services to individuals, particularly children, with autism and other developmental disorders. This position involves implementing behavior intervention plans, conducting assessments, and collaborating with families and other professionals to promote positive behavioral changes. Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on the principles of applied behavior analysis.
- Conduct assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify behavioral issues and develop appropriate treatment strategies.
- Document medical information accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to provide support and education on behavioral health strategies.
- Monitor and record patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet individual needs.
- Provide direct care to children, utilizing effective communication techniques to engage and motivate them.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology relevant to behavioral health and autism spectrum disorders.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical documentation practices and understanding of medical terminology.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or related developmental disorders.
- Strong background in applied behavior analysis techniques and behavioral health principles.
- Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations effectively.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient confidentiality and data protection.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and their families.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support individuals in achieving their behavioral goals.
- BCaBA license is required for this position.
