Position Overview:

Synergy Structures is looking for a Bookkeeper with a strong initiative, a positive attitude, and exceptional attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and demonstrate excellent organizational skills. As a Bookkeeper, you’ll be an integral part of supporting our leadership team by maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate must be able to perform the following essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Process and accurately code invoices and purchase orders in a timely manner
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently
  • Enter and manage data in QuickBooks Online
  • Reconcile corporate credit card statements
  • Route documents for approval and processing
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting and analyzing data
  • Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date vendor, customer, and financial records
  • Process payroll, review timecards, and prepare related reports
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • File necessary tax documents in compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation
  • Address routine billing inquiries and assist with customer billing issues
  • Assist with inventory tracking and cost accounting as needed
  • Perform clerical duties including filing, data entry, and maintaining filing systems
  • Handle special projects and other duties as required
  • Provide general support as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
