Overview: A dedicated pharmacist who provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care while ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering exceptional customer service. This role combines clinical expertise with team leadership to maintain efficient pharmacy operations and promote positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Clinical Services
- Dispense prescriptions accurately while adhering to state/federal regulations and company policies
- Provide thorough medication counseling to patients regarding usage, side effects, interactions, and contraindications
- Administer immunizations and preventive healthcare services
- Perform drug therapy reviews and medication management
- Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy standards Operations Management
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including opening/closing procedures
- Ensure compliance with Good Faith Dispensing policies and controlled substance regulations
- Process and resolve insurance claims efficiently
- Manage inventory and maintain appropriate stock levels
- Utilize pharmacy management system (PioneerRx) effectively Team Leadership
- Supervise and train pharmacy technicians, cashiers, and support staff
- Foster a collaborative work environment focused on professional development
- Provide constructive feedback and performance guidance
- Support pharmacy manager in achieving business and operational goals Professional Relationships
- Maintain productive relationships with healthcare providers
- Communicate effectively with prescribers regarding medication clarifications and alternatives
- Participate in community outreach activities
- Engage in continuous professional development
Qualifications:
- Active pharmacist license
- Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Leadership and team management experience
- Commitment to maintaining required certifications and continuing education
- Experience with pharmacy management systems (PioneerRx training provided)
