Yancey Home Improvements is seeking a highly motivated outside sales representative for Roofing and Solar Sales in the Greater Sacramento Area. Yancey is one of the oldest and most recognizable names in the roofing business with history going back to the late 1800’s. Our history and reputation is unrivaled in Northern California. This gives our sales people a huge advantage over any other competitors before you walk in the door.
Our in house marketing and contact center team keep leads and quality appointments flowing to our sales team across the Sacramento area, 5 days a week.
Who we are looking for:
- An experienced in-home sales professional who recognizes the value of receiving qualified, confirmed appointments on a consistent basis, and can produce results.
- History of high closing percentages
- Knowledge of residential roofing. Solar knowledge is a plus.
- Desire to learn how to sell other home improvement products, from windows and siding, painting, HVAC, kitchens, and bathrooms.
- A passionate team-player who is hungry, self-motivated, and hardworking.
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive, “can do” attitude is a must.
- Ability and desire to learn and improve each day.
- Ability to meet and exceed individual sales goals.
- Desire to provide the best customer service to meet the homeowners’ needs.
What it is the magic of being a Yancey Home Improvements Sales Representative:
- Potential six figure earnings - $75,000 - $150,000. Top sales representatives can earn $200,000+.
- Paid training.

- All appointments are in the greater Sacramento region, NO BAY AREA APTS.
- Working with an experienced sales team who on average have been with the company 5+ years.
Are you up for the challenge? If so, here's what you need to have for the job:
- Prior in-home sales experience.
- Laptop and knowledge on how to use excel and word.
- Excellent people skills.
- Resilient in the face of rejection.
- Demonstrated ability to follow a written sales process.
- Strong follow up and organizational skills
- Saturday availability.
- Must live within daily commuting distance of sales territory or planning to relocate prior to start date.
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to obtain Contractors States License Board home HIS license.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Visit customers in-home to assess their needs and present our products and services.
- Discuss other potential products and services
- Perform one call close when situation allows.
- Weekly sales meetings
- Select products and sign contract in home or in our amazing showroom.
- Work home shows several times a year to generate additional leads!
