Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate under the general supervision of the director of nursing and according to established policies and procedures of the agency, will provide diagnostic evaluations and treatment to assigned patients, to help patients reach maximum performance level.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' physical, emotional, and social functioning.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including speech therapists and case managers, to provide holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on strategies to enhance independence in daily activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in case management activities to coordinate care effectively across various settings.
- Assist in the development of community programs that promote occupational health and wellness.
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Occupational Therapy program with bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in home health, outpatient clinics, or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to develop rapport with patients while providing empathetic care.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in occupational therapy and rehabilitation techniques.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on industry trends.
