Shop Foreman- Diesel Mechanic Heavy Equipment:

JR RAMON is a full service demolition company that has been operating throughout Central and South Texas since 1945. We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Shop Foreman to join our expanding team. The optimal candidate is one who demonstrates a strong work ethic, has ambition, takes initiative, and possesses the leadership and management skills necessary to advance within the company.
Job Duties:

• Order and maintain inventory of parts.
• Maintain fluid and constant communication from asset manager to ensure objectives are being met.
• Determines equipment condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
• Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion; completing winterization procedures.
• Routinely performs repairs, diagnostics, and equipment inspections.
• Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.
• Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.
• Enhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different tasks; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years experience as a diesel mechanic working with heavy equipment (excavators)
• Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and re-gen systems
• Good problem solving skills, resourceful
• Experience with tractor trailers preferred
• Able to pass drug test
