What You’ll Do
As CFO, you’ll be the financial architect of our continued growth, reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating with the executive team. You’ll oversee all aspects of financial strategy, operations, risk management, compliance, and business intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting across a multi-corporation structure.
- Develop and monitor KPIs, job costing systems, and profitability metrics.
- Drive performance reviews and budget meetings with department heads.
- Manage accounting, payroll (union and non-union), billing, collections, and payables.
- Oversee M&A analysis, due diligence, and integration strategies.
- Maintain strong banking, insurance, and bonding relationships.
- Ensure GAAP compliance, regulatory reporting, and internal controls.
- Support ESOP planning and sustainability, including stock appraisals and repurchase studies.
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CEO and board of directors.
What You’ll Bring
- 10–15+ years in senior financial leadership, ideally in construction, engineering, or project-based industries.
- Prior experience as a CFO or VP of Finance in a company with $100M+ in revenue.
- Deep expertise in budgeting, forecasting, M&A, and strategic planning.
- Strong understanding of job costing, project controls, and overhead management.
- Strong understating and experience with WIP schedules.
- Experience with ESOPs is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA or MBA highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Sage 100 for contractors and business intelligence tools (BI/ERP platforms) a plus.
