Job Title: Painter
Location: Groveton, NH
Shift: 6:00 am - 6:30 pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Reports to: Foreman
Job Overview: The painter is responsible for prepping, priming, and painting Rotobec products to meet quality and durability standards. This role requires a strong focus on precision, efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols.
Job Overview: The Weekend Painter (M3) plays a critical role in the final finishing process of our heavy equipment products. This position involves preparing, priming, and applying high-quality coatings to Rotobec products in a controlled spray booth environment. Painters are also responsible for maintaining equipment, meeting production standards, and ensuring a safe and organized work area.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Surface Prep & Painting: Prepare, clean, and paint Rotobec products using approved spray booth processes.
- Product Handling: Label products and safely transport them using forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Quality Standards: Ensure all coatings meet company and customer specifications for durability, color consistency, and finish quality.
- Equipment Operation: Properly operate and maintain spray guns and paint equipment.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements, and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Housekeeping: Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Production Goals: Meets or exceeds set production targets as directed by the supervisor.
- Flexibility: Cross-train in other production areas when needed and perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Prior industrial or automotive painting experience preferred (will train motivated candidates).
- Ability to perform quality work in compliance with required safety and production standards.
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., standing for extended periods, and working in a respirator-equipped environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus (training available).
Education
- Technical degree in a related field OR several years of comparable experience deemed valid by the employer.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base pay, depending on educational background, skills, and experience level
- Weekend shift premium: $2.50/hour differential
- Work 36 hours, get paid for 40 hours
