We are a privately owned general dentistry practice looking for a responsible, positive, and self motivated dental assistant to join our team as our practice continues to grow. Responsibilities:

· Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments

· Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment

· Maintain accurate patient records and update medical documentation

· Perform dental charting and assist with dental coding (both the dentist and hygienist as needed)

· Take dental X-rays

· Utilize dental software systems of Opendental and Dexis

· Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care

· Restocking of dental inventory

· Assist the dentist during dental procedures

· Perform dental reception duties including scheduling appointments, answering phones when needed

· Assist the front desk in duties as needed

Requirements:

· Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a dental office

· X-ray certification

· Strong knowledge of dental terminology and dental treatment codes

· Proficient using electronic practice management software (Open Dental a plus)

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Power Point)

· Excellent organization skills

· Excellent customer services skills

· Excellent telephone etiquette

· Excellent written communication skills

Schedule:

· Monday: 7:30am-4pm

· Tuesday: 7:30am-5pm

· Wednesday: 7:30am-5pm

· Thursday: 10:30am- 7pm (starting June 20th hours will be 9:30am-6pm)
